The theme this year is “A Time to Dance” in keeping with previous years’ themes from Ecclesiastes. There will be a service of Memorial, a service for Retirees, and a service of Ordination. Trying something new, members will sign up for a “Hands-On Mission Activity” with Midwest Missions. The Annual Conference budget will be approved; the General Conference budget is lower, which causes the Annual Conference (IGRC) budget to be lower, which means lower conference claims for Bethel Wesley! There is a trend that more decisions and responsibilities will assumed by the Annual Conference and the local churches and their pastors, rather than at the worldwide level.
