Joyce Hein, Bethel Wesley’s Lay Member at IGRC Annual Conference, provides this report:

At a Special Annual Conference session on May 6, 28 churches from IGRC were officially disaffiliated from the conference. Each of the 28 churches was handled in a separate motion and vote. Speeches for and against the disaffiliation of each church were called for, but only one member spoke against one motion. There were a few “NO” votes on each motion. The 28 churches may be found on the IGRC website in the May CURRENT. If anyone has questions about this subject, please feel free to chat with me. IGRC business will continue as usual at the regular Annual Conference in Peoria, June 8-10. The theme is “A Time To Plant, And A Time To Build” from Ecclesiastes 3:2-3. Each day includes business and worship. A retirement, memorial, and ordination service will also be held.

A special chance to support MIDWEST MISSION is offered at Conference. Items may be dropped off at Church before June 8 and our delegates will see they are delivered. Specific needs are:

• Liquid Household Cleaner 16-80 oz bottles
• Personal Dignity Kits
• Monetary donations
